Welcome to #DiD

What can be found here

Here is a short list of what you can expect to find here on #DiD. Among other things, #DiD will be the base for my web-designing "adventures". I can provide services, but the bare minimum is a web-site design. The normal package includes web-site, collaborative software (free or commercial), a profiling package (including logos and graphics that are made in SVG and templates for business cards, CD-covers, flyers, posters, and specifications for print and paper, for both inside and outside conditions), and consultation.

Also, it will be a bedrock for starving artists and performers who want to publish their art/production in a more indevidual setting than that which is provided by community web-sites (such as MySpace, Facebook, Imeem, etc).

What is a hacker?

A hacker is neither good or bad, but a definition of someone who can "hack" code.
They have the ability to break down binary code using special tools and can understand a wide variety of configuration and computer languages. This is essential to maintain a global understanding of computer technology so no one body of government or orgnisation has total control over digital information distribution.

It can also be seen as a way of acquiring personal information for the purpose of monetary gain. It can be negative and some (like Google) say it's positive.
You can compare the people who try to steal your personal information to sell it or to use it in a negative way to corporations like Google, Facebook, and so forth. It's an evergoing battle for your identity.
But, in my youth, I found a way to describe and separete the two kinds of people who dabble in information technology:

White Hatters & Black Hatters

The definition in it self is kind of nerdy, refering to wizards from Dungeons and Dragons, but explains exactly what the difference is.
The eternal battle of Good vs Evil
